Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa has been stylishly and comprehensively transformed by Maghull Group from unused marshland into one of the leading and most picturesque golf clubs in the country.
Ranked among the best championship golf courses in the whole of the UK, the prestigious club is an established venue for the European Challenge Tour and the English Seniors Tour Events.
Maghull Group has now secured the development of the Professional Golfers’ Association’s first national Amateur Golf Academy. Designed to complement the PGA’s existing professional training complex at The Belfry, The Academy marks the culmination of a decade of development on the 290 acre estate.
A two-storey extension to the existing clubhouse will house a new 62-bed golf residence. A new swimming pool and spa will form part of a state of the art sports fitness and rehabilitation complex. Outside, a new nine-hole par three golf course will add to the superb facilities already available and create a 27 hole championship course.
